Under Pressure!

Oh no! This week is our last week to get our discovery project done! I am pretty much done and I am very excited about presenting what I have found out but I am also a bit nervous.

I have really enjoyed doing the project and I now know things all about my great, great, great, great, great grandma! My favourite thing that I learned was all about what it was like in the olden days. Instead of electronic cars they would use horses to get places, and instead of using Iphones to communicate they would just talk head to head. The world has changed a lot over the centuries!

Here are some of my questions that I asked family members...

What are some unique and amazing things my family has done?
My Dad was very brainy e.g he would have a test and he wouldn't study but he would still beat everyone in his class. He also came up with lots of inventions like on my Nana and Poppa's farm their troughs get filled with slimy stuff, so my Dad spent some time in his shed turning the lawn mower into a trough cleaner. He somehow made it suck up things so he went around cleaning the troughs! My sister has won most of her races since she was seven. She recently won the Southland under 13 girls cross country! During world war 2 my great Grandpa's airplane  got shot down over Germany and he spent a year as a prisoner of war and yet he still survived.

Where is my first and middle name from?
My parents just liked them, I could of had the name Annabelle but at the last minute my name was changed to Lucy and my middle name is now Annabelle. If I was a boy I would of been called Timothy Keith Thompson.

Has my family ever opened their own company?
My Nana and Poppa own a 1000 acres farm.

I have loved learning about my families history and I am excited for sharing it!
